I took a trip up to San Francisco with my girlfriend. We went to the Museum of Modern art on Oct. 24, 2009. It was amazing to see all of the artists that I have studied during my education at Cal State San Marcos. I have taken many art classes and we were always looking at slides on the overhead projector. I knew that there was some resolution lost, but I had no I idea just how much better the real works looked in person. I like how the painters Salvador Dali and Diego Rivera utilized light in their paintings. The techniques of shading and light are amazing. The only thing that I didn’t like about the museum is that is so huge that it is hard the really appreciate every piece of art. After a while my mind starts to fade out and I can’t really focus on the quality of the artists presented. I didn’t like some of the installation art as well. A lot of it looks to simple and weird.
